The home of padel in Sri Lanka, from day one
Padel House began with a simple ambition: to introduce Padel to Sri Lanka and build a community around the game.
Founded by Shamal Perera and Rajeev Rajapakse, Padel House played a pioneering role in establishing the sport locally, creating its first venue and building a growing community of players around it. Rajeev, one of Sri Lanka’s early certified Padel coaches and a former national tennis Captain, was instrumental in those formative years and continues to remain part of the Padel House story.
In early 2026, Padel House entered its next chapter with Trade Promoters Limited (TPL) and former Sri Lanka cricket captain Mahela Jayawardene joining Shamal Perera as owners of the business. The partnership brought together Shamal’s vision for the sport, TPL’s experience in building and scaling businesses, and Mahela’s perspective as one of Sri Lanka’s most recognised sporting figures.
Today, the three partners share a common ambition: to grow Padel House into a truly national platform for the sport, developing exceptional venues, building strong communities and creating experiences that extend beyond the court.
